What It Is
Section titled “What It Is”Our lettuce mix at Cold Springs Organics is a blend of young tender salad greens — a mix of leaf lettuces, sometimes with a touch of arugula or other mild greens. It’s harvested young for best texture and is a staple of the spring and fall CSA box.

Section titled “How to Store It”- Refrigerate in a loosely sealed bag or container lined with a dry paper towel.
- Use within 3–5 days — it’s delicate and doesn’t hold long after cutting.
How to Prep It
Section titled “How to Prep It”No chopping needed. Rinse gently in cold water and spin or pat dry before using. Dress just before eating — dressed greens wilt quickly.
How to Cook It
Section titled “How to Cook It”- Simple green salad — toss with your favourite vinaigrette and toppings.
- Grain bowl base — use as the green layer beneath roasted vegetables and grains.
- Wilted — briefly sauté in a hot pan with olive oil and garlic for a quick cooked green.
