Spring Harvest Guide

Spring is our season of renewal. As the ground thaws and days lengthen, the farm comes alive with cool-season crops that have overwintered or been started early in our greenhouse.

  • Kale — early spring harvest, sweet after frost
  • Spinach — tender spring leaves, best raw or lightly wilted
  • Radishes — fast-growing, first roots of the season
  • Green onions — mild and fresh, ready before the summer alliums
  • Peas — snap and shell varieties, a spring highlight
  • Spring shares tend to be lighter in volume but high in quality.
  • Store greens promptly — spring produce is tender and wilts quickly.
  • Look for the first strawberries in late spring, weather permitting.
